About the role

You’ll become the Ambassador and lead the implementation of a new digitally-enabled Performance culture and make the Change happen by leading a Change Team and engaging senior stakeholders, such as site leadership team, corporate leaders, experts of key corporate areas (Quality, Supply Chain, HR, etc.). 

Accountabilities 
 

  • Kick-off and lead the on-going waves of transformation at the assigned site / area, capture its associated impact fully leveraging all the functionalities which are provided by available digital tools
  • Collaborate with digital product owners to define and prioritize the backlog of functionalities to be implemented, to improve customer experience and maximize business impact


Transformation ressources

  • Secure adequate staffing of Change Leaders & Booster Leaders to support the site transformation
  • Develop the right capability within the transformation teams
  • Ensure robust review of the Performance of team members
  • Provide required training to team members and key stakeholders (e.g. site management)


Transformation methodology

  • Set the ambition
    • Lead the local transformation team in developing the Site Diagnostic Roadmap
    • Ensure alignment of the Site Roadmap with the overall business targets (P&L, KPIs) and site’s priorities, considering the 3-5 strategic plan horizon
    • Make sure the right capabilities and digital enablers are in place
  • Design & Plan the transformation
    • Set the ambition high for the different parts of the transformation, unlocking the full potential of real-time big data analytics
    • Design how the future will look like, fully leveraging the functionalities of the digital products and of real-time data availability, and anticipating risks and opportunities
    • Develop a detailed action plan of how to get there
    • Make sure the change story is credible and well-communicated to all levels of the organization
  • Implement
    • Implement transformative initiatives to achieve demanding business targets (e.g. increase assent utilization, improve flow, step up with QC productivity, etc.)
    • Monitor progress vs plan and impact on performance – timely react in case of gaps
    • Ensure cascading of the site change story
    • Remove roadblocks and challenge the local transformation teams, to make sure the full potential is achieved
    • Make sure key successes are celebrated at site
    • Lead daily check-in/check-outs, weekly reports out, making sure they focus on the “so what?”


Stakeholder Management 

  • Manage relationship with site leadership team, Site management and senior stakeholders (from business units and support functions) including project team meetings and senior leader steering committee
  • Partnering with site Lean & Performance Manager to drive the transformation and build the right
    capabilities to sustain it


Requirements

  • At least Manager / Senior Manager level in a top-tier consultancy 
  • Experience with Operations either in consulting (e.g. Operations Expert) or in industry 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Biology, Chemistry or other similar, relevant disciplines
  • Experienced in leading by influence in matrix-driven project teams/organizations
  • Ability to develop and empower people, coach and give feedback
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Fluent in English, other languages – especially French or German – are a plus

Great to have: 

  • Experience leading transformation initiatives in an industrial environment would be a strong plus, including familiarity with common lean, project or quality methodologies (i.e. flow analysis, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Experience in leading a digital transformation and exposure to agile methodology is a plus
  • Experience in pharma, manufacturing or consumers good would be a plus
